First Holy Communion
Welcome to Sacramental Preparation at St. Therese Parish
Deadline for Registration: September 28, 2025
Dear Parent/Guardian,
St. Therese Parish welcomes with joy all children in Grade 2 or above as they prepare for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. These are beautiful and significant steps in your child’s journey of faith, and our community looks forward to supporting your family in prayer.
How to Register
Online Form: Complete the registration form on this page and click Submit.
Baptismal Certificate: Bring a copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate to our Orientation Meeting on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 7:45 pm in the church.
If you cannot find the certificate: Please contact the parish where your child was baptized to obtain a new copy.
If your child was baptized at St. Therese: Simply note this on your registration form, and we will verify the records for you.
If your child is not baptized (or was baptized in another faith): Please contact the parish office to meet with the priest and discuss the next steps.
Registration Fee: A fee of $60 is requested to help offset the cost of materials. This is payable by cash or cheque (made out to St. Therese Catholic Church).
Important Guidelines
Home Parish: Per Diocesan guidelines, children typically receive sacraments at their home parish. If you belong to another parish but wish to celebrate here, please provide a permission letter from your Pastor.
Joining Our Community: If you are not currently a member of a parish and wish to join St. Therese, please fill out our [Parish Registration Form].
Active Participation: We ask parents to be active partners in this journey by helping children study their workbooks and attending the Mandatory Catechetical Masses as a family (dates to be announced).
Communication: Please ensure your email address is correct, as this will be our primary way of sending updates.
We look forward to celebrating these milestones with you!
God Bless,
Rev. John Bosco Gali OMI
